WooCommerce Connector Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 22, 2026
This policy applies only to the Global Drop Sync WooCommerce Connector WordPress plugin.
The plugin only helps authenticated WordPress administrators generate WooCommerce REST API credentials inside WordPress.
Information handled by the plugin
The plugin displays WooCommerce REST API credential details that are generated inside the WordPress admin area, including the Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, and Connection URL.
These credentials are stored locally in WordPress and WooCommerce. The plugin does not automatically send store data to Global Drop Sync or any other external service.
Administrator action
A store administrator may manually copy the generated Connection URL into Global Drop Sync or another compatible WooCommerce REST API client. If the administrator does this, the external service may connect to the store through the standard WooCommerce REST API using the credentials provided by the administrator.
Third-party website content
The plugin does not import, collect, copy, transform, or process product data, reviews, images, pricing, inventory, or content from third-party websites.
The plugin does not include browser extension code and does not install a browser extension.
Security
API credentials are generated only by an authenticated WordPress administrator with permission to manage the site. The plugin requires HTTPS before credentials can be generated.
When credentials are regenerated, the previously generated WooCommerce API key is revoked. Administrators can also delete API keys from WooCommerce settings.
Data retention
The plugin stores credential information in WordPress and WooCommerce for as long as the administrator keeps the generated API key active. Administrators can revoke access by regenerating the key or deleting the API key from WooCommerce settings.
